Be Thankful

Count your blessings, we’re told, but it’s just not in our nature. People with a strong sense of gratitude, love and appreciation don’t necessarily have more than others; they simply recognize and see more beauty in their lives.

Why do we rather count our problems?

If you’re too busy dwelling on the past or thinking about the future, you won’t be able to fully notice how fantastic things are right now. Plus, thinking about the past and future opens the door to comparison, which is the only way you can perceive something as not good enough. Enjoy today, this moment and don’t postpone your enjoyment. It’s easy to be thankful for the good things. Our life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

Value Yourself ..

A child once asked her teacher.. “Ma’am, why is the pronoun “I” always capitalized when we write it?”

The teacher smiled and said, “Cause it’s a way of giving respect to yourself, by capitalizing it, you’re emphasizing your worth and uniqueness.”

Love Yourself ..

Stop being unhappy with yourself.  Stop trying to get attention from those who hurt you. Love yourself, personality, looks, etc love them because without those things, you wouldn’t be you.

Be confident with who you are. SMILE. It will draw people in. Your happiness should not depend on others anymore.

Repeat after me: “I’m happy because I love who I am. I love my flaws. I love my imperfections because they make me me. and “me” is pretty amazing.”

Have compassion for yourself and for where you’re at. Remember that you are a truly lovable person — and that you deserve only kind treatment, especially from yourself.

If today was your last day on Earth ….

If today was my last day on earth I would write an individual letter to everyone who influenced my life.
In that letter I will express my thoughts about them and how they influence me. Then I would pour out all of my secrets to people who I know will keep them forever. I would tell everyone that I loved how much I love them and why I love them.

I would celebrate my life’s accomplishments and go overboard with gifts and fun events. Memories live on.

Set Yourself Free

If you are quick to take offense, then you’ll be under  the control of those who you find offensive. If you are easily angered, then your actions will be dictated by those who anger you. If you are obsessed by what other people think, then you will be imprisoned by their  thoughts. If you yearn for easy answers and quick solutions, you’ll fall prey to people who offer you nothing but promises. If you find the truth too difficult to bear, you’ll be enslaved to those who tell you what you want to hear. When you have the courage to think for yourself,  the strength to accept what is, the commitment and discipline to make a difference, then you are free.

You are truly free to live with purpose, joy and fulfillment. Let your life be defined, not by reactions to what others do, say, or think but rather your own unique vision. Raise your eyes above the pettiness and follow the path of the greatness that is within you. – Author Unknown

lose yourself in order to find yourself

Boundaries; emotional, physical and mental comfort zones – We have all created these self-imposed boundaries in our lives which we live our lives by them. We cling to what we believe is true and continue to walk the same path that looks and feels familiar.

We remain in our comfort zones and live with our self-imposed boundaries and when we encounter a new exit or a new turn in the road – like a new opportunity – we will obviously not notice it, and if  we do, we will tend to ignore it and continue with the road which we are most comfortable on. We say we want to be successful yet we forget that one of the main reasons why most of the successful people in the world achieved extraordinary success is because they were able to think differently, take risks and move out of their comfort zones.

“When the camel falls down, it is cut up with many knives”

I think its time I post something about the media rage against Dubai .. It’s a little disappointing to see so many judging opinions yet am not writing to lash out or criticize anyone but I believe that at the end of the day it is the investor who is responsible for wrong decisions!
