When we overrate audience and underrate advocacy!

inUnfortunately, many confuse audience with influence. Having a lot of followers or fans doesn’t give you the power to drive action, it gives you the power to drive awareness. We’ve been hearing the word “social media influencer” a lot till we reached a point where the true meaning faded.  “Social influencers,” as they’re known, are social media users with a strong group of followers. While many social influencers tend to have large followings, what’s more important than the number of followers is how many of them will mention, respond to or share an influencer’s posts.

You put up with way too much and receive way too little in return. You are nurturers and you become obsessed with the person in your life and you forget about yourself. You are the one who takes on other people’s baggage, anxiety, guilt, pain, anger and make it your own, spending all of your energy on others and only others. This is “Co-Dependency”!

A Friday Ramble

When in the midst of all our fears and insanity we stop and somewhere, the voice inside your head cries out – ENOUGH!  Enough fighting and crying, or struggling to hold on. The awakening comes  after a blind tantrum, when our sobs begin to subside, we blink back our tears and through a mantle of wet lashes, we begin to look at the world through new eyes.

Sometimes we need to be reminded of the difference between wanting and needing, and the impact of trusting and loving ourselves.
