Do you jump into hashtags just because it’s trending?! Do you post the same exact thing on all social media platforms without tailoring it? eeeek, BAD IDEA!

After announcing picture-heavy web profiles for all users, Twitter is looking to bring quicker engagement. Twitter announced that users who access Twitter.com will receive pop-up notifications when others on the platform engage with them (retweets, mentions or direct messages) This notification will appear in the lower-right hand corner of the timeline.
Many might have realized a change it his/her Twitter profile page which looks an awful lot like Facebook, and chances are, you have a strong opinion about it, I know I do!
Among many major changes which are the user’s main picture and bio which are now scaled to the left, and the more space dedicated to the header photo. This revamped timeline makes tweets look larger and focus more on photos. Also, tweets with more engagement appear larger in user timelines, and you can filter based on photos/videos, replies and so on.
2013 was all about the rise of the “selfie” but 2014 is going to be totally different. I think that the “selfies” should step aside as there is a new type of picture is taking over social media streams which is “usie”.
Usie: A group selfie; a picture one takes with themselves and many others in the photo.
(as in US instead of SELF, then IE)
I have never fully understood the point of “selfies” If you want to see yourself, look in a mirror. But an “usie” makes more sense to me. Read more

I remember few weeks ago I was discussing this with my friends, who were not very happy to hear me discuss what I want them to do when I die. But really with all our online activities what do you think will happen to your twitter, facebook, emails, instagram etc. accounts when you’re gone?! Remember how annoying it was when someone had an instagram handle which is different from their twitter handle. You thought million of times whether to mention them on instagram and not share it on twitter or not to mention them on instagram and share it on twitter.. There’s nothing worse than that!
